What are the things I should consider when buying a light?

You should factor in the lighting effects that you would need or want to create for your production. Most of our customers prefer buying a three-light LED kit to add detail in their shoot, creating just the right balance of light and shadow.

You also want to think about portability. LED lights are lightweight for travel and more efficient to use in outdoor shoots than Fresnel and fluorescent lights. Again, buying an LED kit is optimal when you need the right amount of lighting for the desired effects.

Just as important as those personal factors is the CRI, which essentially determines the quality of the light. Our Dracast lights are durable, in that they emit constant bright light for extensive periods of time.

What is CRI?

CRI stands for Color Rendering Index, which is in short, a metric of measuring the quality, or purity, of a light source.

Why is CRI so important?

Generally speaking, the higher CRI, the more accurate the quality of the picture is. Our Dracast lights have a CRI close to 95 on a scale of 100, which means that your subjects will be presented in near-perfect daylight.

What kind of warranty Dracast does offer?

All of our products carry a one-year warranty.

Is it secure to order online?

Yes, the Dracast site only uses the best possible encryption. In addition, we do not share, rent, trade or sell our customer information to third parties except as neccessary to process transactions, such as proving your data to PayPal or UPS. For security reasons we have chosen not to store credit cards on this site, except for the last four digits.

What is your shipping policy?

All orders ship via UPS Ground or USPS depending on the item, only within the United States. If you wish for a speedier delivery, you can get next-day or two-day shipping on your items for an extra fee.

How can I buy internationally?

International orders can be placed via email at sales [at] dracast [dot] com or by fax.
